The city of Tamarac is promoting the RUN-A-BOAT Culture & Food Festival, a Jamaican-themed event set for Saturday, Nov. 14, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Tamarac Park, 7501 N. University Dr.
The festival will feature authentic Jamaican food, cultural performances, live entertainment and an artisan market. A free kids zone is also planned, and the city described it as a family outing.
The event is sponsored by Commissioner Dr. Kicia Daniel. Proceeds will benefit the JWOF Scholarship Fund and community initiatives in Florida and abroad, according to the post.
Tickets and more information are available through the organizer’s Eventbrite page, JWOFRunABoat.eventbrite.com.
