The City of Hollywood and Eco Ed Impact Corp are inviting families to a garden beautification and tree planting volunteer day at Orange Brook Elementary School on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event recognizes the school as the winner of the city’s Vote for Shade campaign.
Volunteers will work on the school garden and plant trees on campus. Planned activities include garden beautification, tree planting and family community service. Light refreshments will be provided.
Advance registration is required, and children must attend with a parent or responsible adult. The city said it is looking for 20 families to take part, and space is limited.
