Caden Nassar placed second at the District 2A-7 boys’ cross-country championship on Nov. 3, leading North Broward Prep to an eighth-place team finish at South County Regional Park in Boca Raton. The team’s finish was enough to qualify for the regional competition.
Nassar said he started fast and ran a strong race. “I am looking forward to the regional competition,” he said.
Head coach Jon Volpi said the team had a good run and credited the squad’s work over the season. “It takes a lot of dedication to do well in cross-country, and our team has put in a lot of work,” he said.
The North Broward Preparatory School team now moves on to regionals, where it will compete against other qualifiers from the area.
