Miramar will hold its State of the City address Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Universal Technical Institute, 2601 SW 145th Ave. Mayor Wayne Messam is the host, according to the city’s social media post.

Residents who plan to attend must register in advance at MiramarSOTC2026.eventbrite.com.

The city announced the event alongside news that new Level 2 and Level 3 fast electric vehicle chargers have been installed at the Sunset Lakes Community Center. The chargers are meant to give residents and visitors more places to charge, the city said, and they support what officials describe as a continued push toward sustainable infrastructure and better connectivity.
