Miami-Dade County has launched a new On-Demand Home Composting Workshop that residents can complete entirely online, at any time and at their own pace.
The course teaches participants how to turn food scraps and yard waste into rich compost. Residents who finish it earn a voucher for a free compost bin from Miami-Dade Solid Waste.
The county announced the program in an Instagram post on Oct. 16. The post did not list a cost for the workshop or a deadline for the bin voucher. Residents who want to sign up can find the link through the county’s social media post.
