Florida voters will decide Amendment 3 in November 2026. The proposed constitutional amendment would change the state’s property tax system, and the Town of Jupiter has published a guide on what it could mean locally.

Under the amendment, fewer properties would pay property taxes. The exception is taxes paid to the school district, which would continue. Jupiter relies on property taxes as one of its primary revenue sources, and that money pays for town services, programs, infrastructure and community events.

The town said it has been evaluating the potential financial effects and planning how it would respond if the measure passes. Residents who want more detail can find it through a link on the town’s website.
