The City of Hollywood has scheduled three free Halloween events this October, beginning with a family party later this month.

The Boo Bash at ArtsPark at Young Circle downtown runs Friday, Oct. 23, from 5 to 9 p.m. Activities start at 5 p.m. with music and kids’ activities, followed by a costume fashion show at 7 p.m. and a movie night at 8 p.m. Food will be available for purchase.

The next night, Saturday, Oct. 24, the city hosts Hollyweird, a downtown Halloween block party from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event includes live music, DJs, drink specials and a costume contest with more than $10,000 in prizes.

Parking for Hollyweird costs a flat $15 at four downtown garages and lots, including Van Buren Garage and Radius Garage. The city also offers 50% off downtown on-street parking all October, at $1.50 an hour. Visitors who park for free at City Hall Circle, 2600 Hollywood Boulevard, can ride a free shuttle downtown.

The season wraps up Saturday, Oct. 31, with the Halloween Spectacular at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 2600 Charleston Street, from 4 to 7 p.m. The family event features trunk-or-treating and bounce houses.
