New Springs Church will host a free Community Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 9 p.m. at its campus at 11464 W. Sample Road in Coral Springs. The event is open to the public, whether or not people attend the church.
Families can join a costume contest, games and other activities, with music from a live DJ. Church volunteers will decorate trunks and hand out candy. Slimeology plans a slime-making station where slime will be sold.
Food and sweets will be available from vendors including Kona Ice, Vito’s Pizza, A Tasty Mouthful and local baker Cass & Crumb. Admission is free, but food and some vendor activities cost extra.
The church is working with neighboring Coral Air Plaza businesses Beyond Play, Coral Springs Academy of Dance, Escape With Colors and Ever Joy Creations. Organizers encourage families to wear costumes and bring friends and neighbors.
New Springs Church was founded in Coral Springs in 2019 and is led by Pastor Gavin Felix. Sunday services begin at 10:30 a.m.
