The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed Thursday that agents took part in an operation Wednesday in the Seven Bridges community of West Delray Beach, according to BocaNewsNow.com.
FBI spokesperson Amanda Ortiz said the agency was “conducting court authorized law enforcement activity in the vicinity.” She said the FBI had no further details to provide.
BocaNewsNow.com reported that agents were working at two separate locations in the gated community of large homes built by GL Homes. At one, agents asked about a specific homeowner. At another, agents appeared ready to enter a home but did not. It is unclear whether the two activities were connected.
As many as ten unmarked federal vehicles were seen staging in the area, with several Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies nearby. The site reported that agents appeared focused on a rented home owned by an LLC.
No charges have been filed and no arrests were reported. The site said it found no federal court records alleging a crime by anyone targeted. Seven Bridges, on Lyons Road between Clint Moore Road and Atlantic Avenue, has seen several federal cases over the past decade, including Medicaid fraud and financial crime matters involving homeowners there.
