Early voting for the 2026 midterm elections starts Monday in South Florida, and election officials in Miami-Dade and Broward counties have added sites ahead of the Nov. 3 vote.
Miami-Dade has 28 early voting sites, five more than it had for the primary. Broward has 30, nine more than in the primary. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day from Monday, Oct. 19, through Nov. 1.
Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia said the county will be open for 14 straight days because she expects bigger turnout. Voters can cast an early ballot at any site in their county. Those who wait until Election Day must go to their assigned precinct.
Mail-in ballots can be dropped off at an early voting site, but not at a precinct on Election Day. Voters can instead take them to the elections headquarters or a satellite office. Garcia recommends mailing a ballot at least five days before Election Day, since it must arrive by 7 p.m. that day to count.
The ballot includes races for U.S. Senate and governor, which voters said made convenient options especially important this year.
