South Florida is getting a break from the humidity on Tuesday as a weak cold front moves through. Morning temperatures are in the low to mid-70s in Broward and Miami-Dade counties, and afternoon highs should reach the mid to upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.
Rain chances stay low through Wednesday, with only a few showers possible. A few showers were moving across the lower Keys early Tuesday along the front. The National Weather Service forecast source did not list any advisories for Atlantic or Keys boaters, and rip current risk along Atlantic beaches is low.
The pattern changes later in the week. Tropical moisture will push rain and thunderstorm chances up starting Thursday, the first day of the dry season, and scattered showers and storms are expected through the weekend. Winds will pick up at times, and highs on Saturday and Sunday should climb into the mid to upper 80s.
Residents planning outdoor events or beach days this weekend should keep an eye on the forecast as conditions shift.
