The City of Deerfield Beach is hosting two free public forums this October to explain the proposed city charter amendments that will appear on the November election ballot.

The first session is Monday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at the West Deerfield Community Center, 580 S. Powerline Rd. The second is Saturday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Chambers, 150 NE 2nd Ave.

The sessions are meant to give residents an overview of each ballot measure. Attendees can ask questions and learn how the charter would change before they vote.

City officials encourage all Deerfield Beach residents and registered voters to attend one of the meetings. Residents can find more information about the forums and the November election on the city’s website.
