The City of Deerfield Beach will hold its annual Fall Fruit Tree Giveaway on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to noon at Johnie McKeithen Park. The entrance is at NW 1st Terrace.
The city is offering trees in 3- to 5-gallon containers. Options include mango, guava ‘Ruby Supreme,’ Barbados cherry, longan and jaboticaba.
The trees are free for single-family homeowners in Deerfield Beach. Each household may take one tree. The giveaway runs first-come, first-served, while supplies last. Residents must show proof of residency, and no advance registration is required.
