Democrat Pia Dandiya raised $1.83 million in the third quarter of 2026 in her bid for Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, her strongest quarter of the cycle. Federal Election Commission records show the total far outpaced what her Republican opponent, Casey Askar, brought in during the same period.

Dandiya mostly relied on outside contributions, along with about $220,000 transferred from the Democratic-aligned House Victory Project 2026. Her campaign said nearly 24,000 people have given to her this cycle, and 93% of those gifts were $100 or less. She also loaned her campaign $247,000, most of it last year.

Askar, a Naples real estate executive, took roughly $377,500 in donations in the quarter. He also put in another $1.94 million in self-loans, bringing his self-funding total to $4.04 million through Sept. 30. His campaign reported about $80,000 in cash on hand as of Oct. 1, meaning he has spent nearly all of the money he put in.

The race has tightened in national rankings. Cook Political Report and Fox News analysts moved the district to “Toss Up,” and both parties’ congressional committees have targeted it for spending.

The redrawn district runs from the Gulf Coast through Collier and Hendry counties to western Broward and Palm Beach counties. It has no incumbent. Election Day is Nov. 3.
