The Coral Springs Museum of Art drew nearly 700 visitors during its opening days on Oct. 9 and 10, when it unveiled a new downtown gallery at 3380 N. University Drive. The grand opening included live music in the gallery, limited-edition merchandise and the debut of “Picasso: A Graphic Journey.”
The Picasso exhibition includes 57 original prints he created between 1923 and 1972. It runs through Dec. 5. The Broward County Cultural Division supports the show with funding from the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. A second exhibition, “Cages and Collage” by local artist Janet Gold, will be on view through Jan. 30, 2027.
The gallery covers more than 5,000 square feet, with a street-facing design that overlooks Sample Road and movable walls for rotating shows. It also has a retail store, a coffee station and a creative studio. The museum has also updated its logo and launched a redesigned website.
Art classes and other creative programs remain at CSMoA Creative Studios on the second floor of the Coral Springs Center for the Arts, 2855 Coral Springs Drive.
The downtown gallery is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free. Details are at CSMoA.org.
