The Coral Glades football team finished a suspended game on Monday, beating its opponent 21-10 after a weather delay stopped play Friday night.

The Jaguars scored first on Friday, when Ethan Ortega recovered a fumble in the end zone. On Monday, Channing Casey found McKendrick Thomas on a long touchdown pass that doubled the lead. Casey and Thomas connected again on fourth down for a second score, and Coral Glades stopped a fourth-down play in the red zone to carry a 21-point lead into halftime.

The Jaguars were held scoreless in the second half but kept their defense sharp. Thomas had an interception Friday and added two more Monday, finishing with three. John Paul also intercepted a pass to help close out the win.

Coral Glades improved to 3-5. The Jaguars play Boyd H. Anderson High School on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. The Cobras are 2-5 this season after winning against Hollywood Hills and Stranahan High School, and they went 0-9 last year.
