PlayerU Software Solutions, a Coral Gables tech company, has launched a free mobile app designed to teach people how to play pickleball, the fastest-growing sport in the United States. The app is available now in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The app offers guided video lessons from Kyle Yates, a Hall of Famer and seven-time U.S. Open Pickleball Champion. Users can progress from beginner to advanced levels. The initial release also includes PlayerULogic, an artificial intelligence tool trained on pickleball rules, strategies and skill progressions that answers questions in real time.

Co-founder Rene Prats said many people are interested in the sport but do not know where to start. Prats also co-founded Diadem Pickleball Complexes, which he said built the first indoor pickleball facility in Florida and plans to add 13 more in the state. Earlier this year, the Court Reserve World Pickleball Conference gave him the DUPR 2026 Golden Pickle Business Award.

Co-founder Edwin Rivera, a tech entrepreneur who helps startups commercialize their innovations, said the company built the app for people who watch friends play but are unsure how to begin. Rivera said about 4.5 million new players pick up a paddle in the United States each year.

People who want more information can contact Rivera at 786-355-9543.
