Residents can meet their hometown deputies over coffee on Saturday, Oct. 24, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Krispy Kreme, 4299 W. Commercial Blvd. in Tamarac, the City of Tamarac said in an Instagram post.
The event is part of the Coffee with a Cop program, which gives residents a casual chance to talk with deputies and learn more about the Broward Sheriff’s Office. The city’s post did not list a cost or whether registration is required.
The gathering is aimed at building direct contact between neighbors and the deputies who patrol their communities.
