A Boynton Beach woman has claimed a $2 million top prize from a $10 scratch-off ticket, the Florida Lottery said. Karina Vail claimed the prize from the $2,000,000 FORTUNE Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s West Palm Beach District Office on June 16.

BocaNewsNow.com reported that Vail bought the winning ticket at Boynton Grocer, 1305 S. Federal Highway in Boynton Beach. She chose a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,236,000.

The game offers more than $118 million in total cash prizes, with overall odds of 1-in-3.44.

Vail was one of four big scratch-off winners in the Lottery’s latest release. The others included two $5 million top-prize winners from Sebring and Arcadia and a $2 million winner from Hialeah. Under Chapter 24 of the Florida Statutes, the names of lottery winners and their home cities are public record and may be released after 90 days.
