The City of Boca Raton will host its second annual Mobility Workshop on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Florida Atlantic University. The event is free, but attendees must pre-register because space is limited.

The workshop will be held in Gangal Hall in the Engineering East building. It is presented with the FAU College of Engineering & Computer Science and the FAU chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers.

Residents can hear updates on local mobility projects and talk with transportation agencies and partners. Organizations taking part include the Palm Beach Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Florida Department of Transportation, Circuit, and the city’s Fire Rescue Services Department and Office of Sustainability. FAU students will also present their ideas for the future of transportation.

City officials describe the event as part of a broader push for a safe, efficient and connected transportation system that serves current residents and visitors while planning for growth. Those who want to attend can register through the city’s Mobility Workshop webpage.
