South Florida faces a hot, humid and breezy Friday, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s and a heat index near 100 degrees, according to WPBF 25 News. Skies will be partly cloudy.

Southeast winds will keep the surf up and create a high risk of rip currents along area beaches. Isolated to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible Friday. Rain chances are highest inland during the afternoon, and showers may drift toward the east coast in the evening.

Overnight, lows will fall into the 70s, and isolated rain remains possible.

Saturday brings more clouds and scattered showers and thunderstorms that move from south to north. Highs will be near 90, with breezy to gusty southerly winds and another high rip current risk at the beaches.

Residents planning weekend beach trips should check conditions before heading out.
