Ramblewood Elementary School in Coral Springs will mark its 50th year with a community celebration on Monday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon. The school opened in 1976, and the event is built around the theme “Honoring our past, inspiring our future.”

The celebration is open to the community, alumni, current and former staff, and students. Planned activities include a visit from a city historian, a Sawgrass Nature Center display, a bounce house, music, games, face painting, an ice cream truck and food for sale. Free popcorn and cotton candy will also be available. Children must be accompanied by an adult, since the event is not a drop-off program.
