South Florida families have a range of Halloween options this weekend, many of them free and aimed at children. Activities include pumpkin giveaways, haunted houses, live entertainment and community trick-or-treating, according to CBS News Miami.
Several events fall on Friday, Oct. 30. Mika’s Academy holds a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat and Family Party from 6 to 8 p.m. In Broward, Oakland Park’s Halloween Bash runs 6 to 9 p.m. at Wimberly Field, 4000 NE 3rd Ave., and admission is free.
On Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31, Wynwood’s HalloWYN 2026 runs from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. The neighborhood bills it as its official free Halloween block party. Earlier that afternoon, the North Dade Regional Library’s YOUmedia program hosts a costume party from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
The afternoon and early-evening events give families a chance to celebrate before trick-or-treating begins after dark.
