The Town of Jupiter has scheduled public hearings on a zoning text amendment that would change how development application fees are set in the town code.

The proposal would delete the permit fee percentage rate in Chapter 21 and the fees for application development review in Chapter 27, then adopt those fees by reference. The item is tracked as PZ 26-7063.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hear the item at 7 p.m. on Nov. 10, 2026. The Town Council is scheduled to consider it at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1 for first reading and Dec. 15 for second reading. All meetings will be held in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Complex, 210 Military Trail.

The town sent notices to property owners within 300 feet of the subject property. Titles may change before approval. Residents who want to appeal a decision will need their own record of the proceedings, since the town does not provide a verbatim transcript.

Questions can be directed to Scott Thatcher in the Planning and Zoning Department at (561) 741-2444. Agendas are typically posted on the town website about a week before each meeting.
