The Boys and Girls Club of Broward County opened its 200th Panda Care Center in Hollywood on Monday, with former Washington Wizards guard John Wall making an appearance. Wall, a club alumnus, greeted children and helped dedicate the new space at the Marti Huizenga Unit.
The center cost $45,000 to build, according to the source report. It will function as an innovation station and a brain break corner, offering homework help, tutoring and technology for students after school.
For families in Hollywood, the center adds another after-school option for kids who need a quiet place to study and access to computers.
