West Palm Beach police have arrested a 29-year-old Delray Beach security guard on multiple sexual battery charges involving a 16-year-old girl. Yvenson St. Louis was arrested Saturday, Oct. 24, according to a probable cause affidavit filed by the department.
Investigators said the teen reported that St. Louis offered her a ride in his marked security vehicle on Oct. 21 while she was walking along Broadway Avenue. The affidavit says he drove her to a construction site near 508 41st St., assaulted her multiple times and struck her in the face. The victim told investigators she feared for her safety and believed he may have been armed.
Police said St. Louis later arranged a ride home for the teen and exchanged phone numbers with her, then sent her text messages. Surveillance video from a nearby business showed the two walking and driving in the same direction, and the affidavit says his uniform looked disheveled when he returned to the area. The victim identified him in a photo lineup and identified his vehicle.
Detectives located St. Louis in the 4200 block of Broadway on Oct. 24 and interviewed him. According to the affidavit, he admitted having sexual intercourse with the teen and said he believed she looked 16 or 17. The interview was recorded, and investigators collected a DNA swab with his consent.
St. Louis was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on three counts of sexual battery on a victim older than 12 but younger than 18 and one count of lewd or lascivious touching. The charges are allegations at this stage, and court records show the case is pending.
