The 43rd annual Miami Book Fair opens Nov. 15 and runs through Nov. 22 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in downtown Miami. Fair Executive Director Lissette Mendez previewed the lineup on Episode 38 of The Miami Book Hub, a podcast hosted by a local author.

The opening Sunday includes a Miami-style block party with music and food. A week of conversations follows, leading into the Nov. 20 to 22 Street Fair. Mendez said about 500 authors and moderators will take part, with programming in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole.

Planned guests include Zibby Owens, the NPR Planet Money team and actor Tony Shalhoub, who will appear with his daughter, Josie Adams, to discuss a book about food and family.

Admission to the Street Fair is free on Friday. Saturday and Sunday cost $12 for adults, and children 12 and younger get in free. Most weekend author programs are included, though some events require separate tickets.

The fair also hosts the Next Page fundraising dinner on Nov. 20 at the JW Marriott Marquis Miami, honoring Judy Blume and the Nusbaum family. The fair’s website, MiamiBookFair.com, lists the schedule, admission details and dinner tickets. Organizers encourage visitors to consider Metromover, which is fare-free and serves the campus, connecting with Metrorail, Tri-Rail or Brightline.
