Spirit Christmas plans to open a temporary holiday store in Coral Springs in November, taking over the former Big Lots at 725 N. University Drive. The store is scheduled to open Nov. 6, according to published store-opening schedules.
The seasonal retailer, which is run by the company behind Spirit Halloween, is expanding to 44 locations in 15 states this year. The Coral Springs site is one of four planned for Florida, along with stores in Clearwater, Jacksonville and Winter Garden. It is the chain’s first time in the state.
The location now operates as a Spirit Halloween store and will switch over once the Halloween season ends. Shoppers can expect Christmas trees, ornaments, wreaths, string lights, outdoor inflatables, festive clothing and stocking stuffers, along with animated decorations and movie-themed collectibles.
The company said the store will also include interactive displays. The Candy Cane Express is designed to surround guests with the sights, sounds and scents of Christmas, and Inflatable Land will feature oversized decorations, including Frosty the Snowman, Heat Miser and Snow Miser from the 1974 special “The Year Without a Santa Claus.”
Store hours and updates are available at SpiritChristmas.com.
