Free live music is playing at the Hollywood Beach Theatre on the Broadwalk at Johnson Street, five nights a week this October. Shows run Wednesday through Sunday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop.
The Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort provides the programming. The city’s October schedule covers a wide mix of genres, including funk, reggae, rock, 1980s and 1990s cover sets, soul, country, New Orleans-style blues, Latin jazz and a tribute to the band Rush.
Several dates have themed nights. Latin Heritage Night is set for Oct. 11 with Kelvy Jai y Orquesta, and a 1970s disco party is scheduled for Oct. 17. The series closes Oct. 31 with Making Faces, performing a Halloween-style show.
The lineup lists about one act per night on select dates, so visitors should check the city’s posted schedule for the full calendar before heading to the Broadwalk.
