The City of Miami and the Omni Community Redevelopment Agency have broken ground on a new residential development at 1433 and 1435 NW 1st Court, according to a post on the city’s Instagram account.

The project will bring 11 new residential units to the neighborhood. Ten of them will be affordable homes, the city said.

The post did not give a completion date or cost. It said the project is part of the city’s effort to expand housing options for Miami residents and to invest in neighborhoods in the Omni area, which the post tagged as Historic Overtown.
