After more than three decades practicing internal medicine in Boca Raton, Dr. Owen A. Barruw has opened his own independent practice, Boca Premier Primary Care Group, in East Boca Raton. The practice is at 900 Northwest 13th Street, Suite 103, and is accepting both established and new patients.
Barruw is board certified in internal medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He said the move reflects a long-held goal of building a practice centered on the relationship between physician and patient.
“After more than 30 years of practicing medicine in this community, it is very meaningful to begin this next chapter,” Barruw said. He said some of his patients span generations of the same families, and he plans to keep caring for them at the new location.
The practice will focus on preventive care, routine health maintenance, chronic disease management and coordination of care. The announcement said longtime patients who had been waiting for word on his new location will find the same doctor, with a new address and practice name.
