The Palm Beach County School District’s Advisory Boundary Committee will hold a public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 22, to discuss proposed attendance zone changes for several elementary schools. The changes would take effect in the 2027-28 school year.

The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the board room at the Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center, 3300 Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach.

The main proposal creates an attendance zone for a new school, Elementary School “23-H,” in Westlake. To build it, the district would take portions of the Golden Grove Elementary and Loxahatchee Groves Elementary zones. A section of the Crystal Lakes Elementary zone would also move to Sunset Palms Elementary.

Residents can attend in person or comment virtually. People who want to speak remotely must register through the district’s website, under the dropdown for the 2026-27 Advisory Boundary Committee meetings with community input. The agenda and supporting documents are posted there too.

The meeting will be livestreamed and recorded, and the district said the video will be posted online afterward. The new Westlake campus is a $48 million project that is set to open in August 2027.
