The Coral Springs Charter boys golf team won the BCAA Championship on Wednesday at the Country Club of Coral Springs, with two players finishing under par.

Liam Johnston led the Panthers with a 67 (-3) to take the individual title. Braden Anderson of St. Thomas Aquinas High School was second at 68 (-2). Coral Springs Charter then filled the next three spots: Bento Asis shot 69 (-1) for third, Hudson Fee shot 70 for fourth and Kolton Viveros shot 71 for fifth.

Other local teams also competed. J.P. Taravella’s Fabian Harris shot an 83, and Coral Glades’ Isaac Shields shot a 94 on the boys side. On the girls side, Coral Glades’ Shannon Glynn qualified for the championship but could not finish her round because of an injury. Glynn had opened the season with back-to-back first-place finishes, including a 33 (-3) at Parkland Golf and Country Club.

The results put Coral Springs Charter at the top of the conference field heading into the next stage of the season for Broward County high school golf.
