The City of Miramar is hosting a free community evening called Sneakers on the Ground on Friday, Oct. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Vernon E. Hargray Youth Enrichment Center Gymnasium, 7000 Miramar Pkwy.
The program includes high-energy aerobics, dance parties and line dancing led by Jammin Jamei. It is open to the public and intended for ages 12 and up. Hats and fans are welcome, and the city asked guests to wear pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Participants may not wear boots on the gym floor. The city said people can RSVP through an Eventbrite page linked from its Instagram account. Additional sessions are scheduled for Nov. 20 and Dec. 18.
