The City of Miami will hold a groundbreaking on Friday, Oct. 16, for a new residential development at 1433 and 1453 NW 1st Court, according to a post from the city’s official Instagram account.

The project will add 11 residential units to the neighborhood. Ten of them will be affordable, a mix the city says is meant to widen access to housing for residents.

The post did not give a start time for the groundbreaking or say who will attend. Residents who want to see the site can check with the city for details before heading over.

The project is one of several affordable housing efforts the city has highlighted in recent months, and it adds to the supply of rental and for-sale homes in a neighborhood that has seen steady development pressure.
