The Marjory Stoneman Douglas girls golf team won the BCAA Championship for the third straight year on Wednesday at the Country Club of Coral Springs. The Eagles finished 32 shots ahead of the rest of the field.
Andiara Raton led the way with a 77 and took second place individually. Cooper Aucoin finished one shot back in third. Ella Thompson shot an 83 to place fifth, Sutton Oosterhuis was 10th and Celeste Thomas finished 22nd. The team also honored Thompson and Oosterhuis on Senior Night.
The boys team finished third overall behind Coral Springs Charter and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. Jack Finegan led the Eagles with a 75, followed by Brody Aucoin at 76 and Josh Anderson at 79. Matthew Freedland and Lachlan Oosterhuis also competed for the team.
The results put the Eagles at the top of the county’s girls golf scene once again, and the boys squad remained in contention among the area’s strongest programs.
