Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is opening a new restaurant in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood. Lucky Cat Steak is set to open Nov. 25 at 119 Washington Ave., in the space that previously housed Lucky Cat Miami.
The restaurant combines a steak program with sushi, sashimi and Japanese and Korean flavors. Steaks include USDA Prime, Texas Akaushi, A5 Miyazaki and Australian Blackmore Wagyu, all finished over an open-flame robata grill. Menu items with a Miami touch include mango and papaya dishes, black cod croquettes and wagyu bulgogi tacos.
Ramsay said the menu was built specifically for Miami rather than adapted from another city. Executive Head Chef Michael Howells developed the dishes with him. Highlights include the “GFP,” a prawn version of Ramsay’s fried chicken dish, and kimbap and crispy tofu bibimbap on the Korean-inspired side menu.
The cocktail list includes an Okinawa margarita with kumquat and Thai basil, a spicy passion and mango margarita, and a Lucky Negroni that lets guests roll dice to pick their gin, bitters and vermouth.
The 152-seat restaurant will serve dinner Wednesday through Saturday and includes a late-night lounge. Reservations open Nov. 25 through OpenTable and Resy. More information is available at luckycatsteak.com or on Instagram at @LuckyCatMiami.
