A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash involving a car in Palm Springs, police said. The Palm Springs Police Department said the collision happened around 2:14 p.m. at the intersection of South Congress Avenue and 2nd Avenue North.
Officers who responded found that the crash involved a motorcycle and a red Toyota Corolla. Police have not released the name of the person who died and have not said what led to the collision.
Investigators were still at the scene later Wednesday afternoon, collecting evidence and working to piece together what happened. Drivers should expect delays near the intersection and can use alternate routes.
