A Delray Beach man was arrested after a woman told police he grabbed her and kept her from leaving a home on High Point Place North, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Delray Beach police responded to the home early Monday, Oct. 12, for a reported disturbance. A witness told officers she had gone there with a friend and that the man’s behavior changed after they arrived. She said he followed them around the residence and said he would not let them leave. The witness left, but her friend stayed inside and later sent messages saying she had been locked in a room.
The woman told officers that when she tried to leave, the man grabbed both of her arms and pulled her into a bedroom. She alleged he blocked the doorway, locked the door and said he would not let her go.
The man denied locking anyone in a room or preventing them from leaving. He told officers he had paid $270 for services and wanted his money back after the services were refused, the affidavit says.
Police identified the suspect as Lenard Eugene Bonner. Records show he was arrested on charges of false imprisonment of an adult and purchasing prostitution services.
