The U.S. Coast Guard offloaded a multimillion-dollar drug haul at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday morning.

Crews unloaded more than 29,000 pounds of cocaine and over 3,000 pounds of marijuana. Officials estimated the seizure is worth $226.7 million.

The Coast Guard said the drugs came from six separate interdictions carried out by the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Tampa in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Several partner agencies assisted with the operations.

A press conference about the offload was scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday at Port Everglades. The port’s role as a receiving point for seized narcotics puts it at the center of federal drug enforcement efforts in South Florida.
