Four Coral Springs-area high school bowling programs honored their senior athletes on Tuesday as the postseason approaches. Coral Springs Charter, Coral Glades, J.P. Taravella and Coral Springs High School all recognized graduating players during the same stretch of the season.
Coral Springs Charter honored Cameron Thiele as the Panthers recently reached their 100th win of the season. J.P. Taravella celebrated six seniors: Angelyse Colon, Analise Dubidad, Gabriela Sanchez and Chayane Van Wickle from the girls’ team, and Adam Acevedo and Joshua Brown from the boys’ team. The Trojans’ girls currently rank fourth, and the boys sit ninth.
Coral Springs High School recognized three seniors: Lohan Howe and Enrique Soto on the boys’ team, and Aracely Soto on the girls’ team. The Coral Springs squads have combined for more than 55 wins this season. Coral Glades honored its lone senior, Steve McNair, while the Jaguars hold eighth place, one spot ahead of the J.P. Taravella boys.
All four programs now turn to the District Championships, scheduled for October 19 at Lucky Strike.
