Man charged with murder after deadly stabbing of his mother in Tamarac

A 28-year-old man is facing a first-degree murder charge after Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies say he fatally stabbed his mother in Tamarac on Friday evening.

Deputies were called to a stabbing near Northwest 28th Avenue and 53rd Street. When they arrived, they found a woman with stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies detained a man at the scene. He was later identified as Manuel Cabello, 28, and was arrested on the murder charge.
