Miami airport passengers face Panama City connection problems after quakes

Passengers at Miami International Airport reported trouble with connecting flights through Panama City after several earthquakes shook Panama on Friday.

As of about 9:15 a.m. Saturday, the MIA departures board showed one Copa Airlines flight bound for the carrier’s hub in Panama City delayed by a significant amount of time. Another Copa flight to the same hub had been canceled. Other Copa flights and American Airlines flights were scheduled to leave on time.
