South Florida is in for a mostly sunny weekend, according to the NEXT Weather Team at CBS News Miami. A few pop-up showers are possible Saturday afternoon, mostly in the Glades border communities.

Elsewhere, highs will reach the upper 80s and low 90s. Humidity will make it feel much hotter, with triple-digit heat index readings from Broward County to the lower Keys.

The highest king tides of the current cycle are expected Saturday and Sunday mornings, with most peaks between 8 and 10 a.m. Forecasters warned of roadway and coastal flooding during those windows.

Small craft advisories are in effect for Atlantic and Keys waters because of winds and waves. A moderate rip current risk covers all local beaches, so swimmers should be cautious.

Remnants of Hurricane Isaias are bringing heavy rain to parts of the Southeast, including central and northern Florida. As that system moves north and northeast, drier air is expected to settle over the state, giving South Florida a dry and sunny week ahead.
